Last Monday’s Open Stage weather forecast predicted a deluge of purple rain, gusts of solo shimmying, baseball-sized burlesque, seasonal tantrums and a long-awaited slice of fury.

Last Monday’s Open Stage antics resulted in bouts of strong language, awkward social situations, blown flutes, pirate romance, shredded phone books and eight dancing hands.

World Circus Day 2013

The fourth annual World Circus Day came on a beautiful spring day here in Texas. There were blue skies, plenty of sunshine, and a barrage of circus performers invading Eastside Plaza in Richardson!

For the last four years, SpinFest has been recognized by the World Circus Federation for being an amazing circus playdate in the park.

As co-sponsors of the event, the Circus Freaks were on hand to run amok, lead conga lines and teach circus arts in all their clown-tastic, brightly-striped glory.

People rarely believe me when I tell them how weird circus days can get. Here’s a little photographic evidence to tide you over until World Circus Day 2014.

Announcing our partnership with the Gallery at Midtown

Thanks to our recent partnership with the Gallery at Midtown, we’re excited to report that Cirque Out now has a new indoor home for the summer!

Starting tonight, You can find our Tuesday night workout event on the upper floors of Valley View Center from 8-10pm each week.

We’ll have access to high ceilings, air-conditioned space, restrooms and even a food court. It’s everything a clown could ever want in a gym, and we’re grateful to be invited to come play with them in such an amazing space.

The Circus Freaks are proud to announce their partnership with the Gallery at Midtown!

Starting May 18th, we’ll have a different group of performers roaming the galleries each month.

Come out after SpinFest for food trucks, live music, fine art and the weirdest bunch of clowns ever to invade an art gallery.
