Spooky Stage 10/31/11

Halloween’s Spooky Stage summoned up an army of musical zombies, un-heavenly hosts, black magic women, nearly-invisible ninjas, maternal dragons, haunting voices, ghost stories and a surprisingly sexy animal. Open Stage 9/26/11

Last week’s Open Stage gave us quiet warriors, spooky teasers, ocarina-driven nerd lust, a steamy solo tango, a songwriter brought to his knees, new rock from the swamp and a reminder about careful knife placement. Open Stage 6/27/11

Just before a brief holiday break the Open Stage was kind enough to gift us with a couple of comedians, impromptu primates, ‘done me wrong!’ songs, a flirty fan dancer, a killer queen in a lethal dress and tales of debts unpaid. Videos Photos photos by Firebird Images and Sheri Hall

Open Stage 4/4/11

Last week’s Open Stage gave us performer team ups, panic attacks, hummus interuptus, ego-free prima donnas, a side of caramel and a certain songbird making us all shiver and cheer. Videos Pictures Photos by Bobby Hitt

Open Stage 3/7/11

Week one of Open Stage gave us clockwork clowns, ooey-gooey belly dancers, sandwich-devouring DJs, a modest drummer, hoop dancers in filthy disco pants, a surprisingly unchromatic harpist, returning cirque-alumni and a bowler-wearing folk star belting out the best rendition of “Sing Out” I’ve ever heard.
